Canteen

New Kitchen Gratitude

We have a brand new, fresh and shiny, commercial kitchen and we are SUPER excited!

Stage one of our canteen upgrade is complete and there are many people to thank for our new workspace.

In particular, Vanessa Saunders, our canteen convenor and project manager.

Whilst juggling her own full-time job, Vanessa worked tirelessly with our initial plans, swinging back and forth between designers, draftsmen, suppliers and tradesmen to bring it to life. A mammoth effort! So much gratitude and thanks to Vanessa.

WPS Corporate Services Manager, Lee Masters, for involving the Education Department, seeking additional funding and for activating the plans.

Our P&C Committee and Executive Committee, past and present for your commitment to funds and for knowing how much we needed this functional kitchen to produce what we’re capable of.

Our Wembley Primary School Community, Canteen Volunteers and Gift a Shift donors for supporting our canteen and our special events which helped to raise funds for this stage of the upgrade.

Our canteen staff are so grateful. BIG thanks you all.

Some photos of what we fondly refer to as ‘The Hour of Power’.

Our kitchen in full swing, packing class baskets on Friday.

The pressure is on and it’s a load of fun followed by a great sense of achievement once the kids are fed.

French Recess

Capes are on -the superheroes have been madly prepping all day and the kids are super excited!

Thrill seekers, we need your help!

We only have a quick 30-minute blast to get all the kids served and back into the playground.

Grab a bunch of your school friends and come join the fun!

Please sign up here   if you can help or come in at 10.15am on Wednesday morning.

Halloween Recess

A simple recess of a spooky cupcake and ghastly ghost Sipahh Straw with fresh milk will be available for Monday 31st October.

Pre-orders are open on Wednesday and close at noon on Sunday.
